I Wonder

I believe we often have images in our minds of the Christmas story that are way to sanitized. We forget that these were real people with real problems facing really difficult decisions. In particular, we often underemphasize the fact that Mary was a teenage girl that probably had a ton of questions about the dilemma she now found herself within. I wrote this piece to explore some of these questions that Mary might have found herself wrestling. It was performed at the Sunrise Community Church in Fair Oaks, California on Christmas Eve 2019.
