It truly amazes me to hear the resounding silence of some churches on the issue of social justice, police brutality and racism all around us. If there’s one institution on Earth that should be leading the charge in this area it should be the Church. However, the decibel level of the silence coming from some churches is deafening! I recently wrote a new poem in response to what’s going on in our nation concerning the death of George Floyd, police brutality, Black Lives Matter, racism and social justice at large. I had the privilege of presenting it at a service. It was written specifically for silent so called Christians who just don’t get it. I’m hoping it powerfully impacts all who hear it.
