We Are the Notes

It’s interesting how little seeds of an idea can blossom into fully developed creations and works of art. Sometimes we have inclinations or ideas that come to mind that provide tiny windows into our purpose. It’s not until we make the intentional effort to develop the seeds we have been gifted…water them with effort…fertilize them by developing our skills that we bear fruit! This is how we add beauty to the world in which we live. 

This piece started with a small idea became a full fledged poetic work of art. I’m excited to have shared the virtual stage with the Honorable Representative MaxineWaters for the 2021 NAACP San Luis Obisbo Fundraiser event. This poem is my new favorite and drives home the importance of staying committed to social justice and the role we all play to make this world a better place.
